Bare Native win the Classic award for Environment Stream at the inaugural NOVO Awards, hosted by BEST Growth Hub.
On October 21, Bare Native CEO Abigail Gibson-Wass and her team attended the NOVO Awards hosted at Braxted Park, Essex. Bare Native, a UK Marine Bioscience company, has developed a revolutionary strategy to help combat climate change through the bioremediation of oceans, rivers, and lakes across the planet. They were shortlisted for their work in the environment stream, and rewarded when they won the Classic Award within their category.
Bare Native have developed a completely natural and eco-friendly nano-nutrient that uses upcycled materials. Their ground-breaking research utilises the process of atmospheric carbon capture, and will sequester at least 69% of carbon from the atmosphere every single year by eliminating contaminants in the environment using microorganisms or plants. The process improves the conditions in highly eutrophic waters by enhancing the natural occurring diatoms present within each body of water. The uplift in water conditions reinvigorates marine life and cleans the oceans.
The Environment Stream consisted of three Essex-based businesses that had been shortlisted from hundreds of entries. The NOVO Awards judging panel convened to evaluate each business, looking at how each one combined innovation, whilst being smart, ethical, and principled. The honour of the Classic awards highlights Bare Native’s innovative contribution to the fight against climate change.
